In order to provide quality and professional patient care, nurses must be skilled, empathetic and competent. At the same time, the facility must ensure that nurses have appropriate working conditions, well-being and job satisfaction, as these have a direct impact on the quality of patient care. A supportive working environment not only improves the physical and psychological health of the employee, but also has a positive impact on task performance and organisational effectiveness. It is important to investigate the determinants of nurses' job satisfaction and the impact on their performance in order to create better working conditions and improve patient care. Aim: To assess nurses' satisfaction with their professional environment in Hospital X. Objectives: 1. To identify the motivational factors influencing job satisfaction. 2. To determine job satisfaction in relation to career opportunities. 3. Determine the impact of the work environment on nurses' job satisfaction. Hypothesis: It is likely that work motivation system and work environment have a greater impact on job satisfaction of nurses than career opportunities. Methods: The survey responses were collected from 12.03.2024 to 03.04.2024. Only nurses working at Hospital X participated in the survey (n=221). ,,Job satisfaction" by P.E. Spector was used, which assesses both overall and nine individual dimensions of job satisfaction. To analyse the data, a mathematical and statistical analysis was applied using Microsoft Office Excel and R Commander. Means, percentages, standard deviations, Chi-square test for dependencies were calculated. A dependent relationship was established at p<0.05. Results: The survey found that nurses' overall satisfaction with their job in Organisation X was 143.84 - a neutral attitude towards work. Job satisfaction was influenced by: leadership, job type, co-workers, communication. Neutral attitudes were found in aspects such as: pay, promotion, fringe benefits, unintended rewards, working conditions. Conclusions: 1. The respondents' job satisfaction is not increased by material motivation measures. 2. Career opportunities were assessed from a neutral point of view. 3. The respondents rated the working environment as the most positive aspect. Recommendations: 1. To increase job satisfaction, the organisation should increase cash benefits. 2. The organisation should create favourable opportunities for career growth. 3.
