Abstract [eng] In this dissertation the research was performed in two phases. In the first phase the data of radiological, pulmonary function tests (PFT) and bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) examinations of 80 newly diagnosed patients with pulmonary sarcoidosis were analysed. In the second phase of the study a total of 81 patients with newly diagnosed pulmonary sarcoidosis and 25 healthy controls patients were analysed. Blood and BALF analyses were performed. Bronchoscopic lung biopsies were performed in 35 of these patients with sarcoidosis. CD31+, CD38+, CD44+, and CD103+ T lymphocytes in peripherial blood and BALF were analysed. Immunohistochemistry for CD8+, CD38+, CD44+, and CD103+ on the whole tissue sections was performed. Patients were grouped into stages according to chest radiography and high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT). Comparisons were made between the groups according to smoking history and the presence of Löfgren syndrome. The dissertation presents the data analysis and review of current research publications. The study provided unique data on the cellular immune response in several tissues of the human body in newly diagnosed pulmonary sarcoidosis. The dissertation is formed from introduction, literature review, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusions, practical recommendations, references and supplements. The dissertation includes: 123 p. of text, 18 figures, 27 tables, 221 references, 3 supplements.
