This article analyses and reveals the essential requirements for the duration of the adapted custodial sentence when a judgment by another EU Member State imposing a custodial sentence is recognized and enforced in the Republic of Lithuania. Special attention is given to the relevant Lithuanian case law on practical issues regarding the adaptation of the custodial sentence imposed by the court of another EU Member State to the requirements of the criminal laws of the Republic of Lithuania. |
