In this work recollections in autobiographical memory is analyzed theoretically, in which later those insights will be reflected and interpreted in poetic video essay. In theoretical part of this work, memory is analyzed as a whole unit by discussing and defining the concept of memory through John Locke theory and insights of Dalius Jonkus. Also the importance of Proustian henomena that gave stimulus to the entire project is discussed and generalized. Recollections are analyzed through the senses distinguishing the influence of scent to the memory (recollections). In general the olfactory is important matter for recollections revival and recollections itself often provoke creative process. This work refers to a close relation of memory, recollections and scent as well as chained remembering reactions. |
