The main purpose of this master thesis is to determine are strategic information system planning being used in organization that use blockchain technology and to determine the main reason what is motivating the implementation. The work consists of three main parts: the analysis of literature, the research and its results, conclusion, and recommendations. Literature analysis review how organizations understand strategic planning, presents the main concepts of information system strategic planning, disclose the main blockchain system working principles. After the literature analysis the author has carried out the study about information system strategic planning in organizations that uses blockchain technology. 5 international company’s (located in EU/EE areas) have presented the answers to the prepared questionnaire. The main purpose of the question was to find out are the organizations using strategic information system planning, what are the main struggles to implement it, what advantages the organization see by using strategic information system planning. The performed research revealed that only several organizations are using information system strategic planning in the organization and the implementation reason relies on various criteria such as IT department inside the company. The conclusion and recommendations summarize the main concepts of the literature analysis as well as the results of the performed research. The author believes that the results of the study could give useful guidelines to better understanding specific of strategic information planning integration process within organizations that uses blockchain technology. |
