THE IMPACT OF TELEWORKING ON MOTIVATION, INVOLVEMENT AND PRODUCTIVITY IN ORGANIZATION X Ugnė ZAURĖ Master thesis Human Resourses master study programme Vilnius University, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration Supervisor – Doc., Dr. Asta Stankevičienė Vilnius, 2023 SUMMARY 99 pages, 21 charts, 4 pictures, 153 references. The aim of the master's thesis is to analyze the impact of remote work on motivation, engagement and productivity in X organization and to make suggestions for increasing motivation and engagement. The work consists of the analysis of scientific literature, research model, quantitative survey and part of data analysis, conclusions and suggestions are presented. The literature examines the theoretical impact of remote work on motivation, engagement and productivity. Challenges of remote work and elements of involvement in it are distinguished, internal and external motivation are discussed, productivity factors are described. After the literature analysis, the second part presents a quantitative survey, conceptual model, research sample, methodology, instrument. Research participants are employees of one X organization. The company did not agree to reveal the name of the company due to confidentiality, so by mutual agreement, they allowed to interview the employees on the condition that the title of the job and the job itself will say - X organization. To ensure the reliability of the research, the average of the interviewed candidates, already completed scientific articles, on a similar topic is analyzed. The 3rd part of the written work presents the results of mediators, moderators and other statistical analysis, presented in Word, Excel and SPSS programs. Calculated, Cronbanch's alpha coefficient, normality tests, histograms. T-test and One-way Anova reveal the influence of demographic factors on the evaluation of variables. Regression analysis helps determine the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. Calculated moderator of remote work, in mediation between motivation, intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, engagement and productivity. Although the moderator remains unproven, research shows a significant relationship between motivation, intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, engagement, and productivity. At the end of the work, conclusions and suggestions for organization X are presented. |
