Abstract [eng] A study involves the analysis of the theoretical period of adolescence, and the analysis of healthy lifestyle and physical activity‘s aspects. The hypothesis raised that girls‘ approach to a healthy lifestyle and physical activity is stronger than the guys. Prepared research tool - a questionnaire (questionnaire is created by Health Studies Department‘s scientists on the basis of scientific literature). The research is conducted with 336 high schools students of the city of Klaipeda. The research is analyzing the period of adolescence, a healthy lifestyle and physical activity of gorls and boys. The study‘s findings: 1. The analysis of the literature clarifies what adolescence is, what its‘ characteristics are, and distribution. The study analiezed in what way each age-span is important and complicated, what is the typical lifestyle and physical activity and why it is important to start to live a healthy and physically active life in childhood period. 2. The assessment of adolescent health care shows that the girls take care of their health worse compared with the boys, however, girls assess their health better than the guys. There are a slight difference between boys and girls in feeling abdominal pain, sleep disorders and physical exhaustion. Boys are more likely than girls more often to feel stomach pains, moreover, this is a statistically reliable data. Similar results in both groups is for visiting a doctor, but boys are more often going to see the dentist then girls do. The evaluation of addictions showed that girls more often use alcohol and sedative drugs than boys do, however boys are more likely to smoke. 3. An analysis of the peculiarities of physical activity showed that the girls thinks they are physically more active than boys, though boys more often attend physical education classes compared with girls. Boys are more likely to go to the parties and more often read books than girls. Moreover, boys are more likely to go to the sports clubs than girls, and they more travel with family. Girls more often run and ride a bicycle than boys. The hypothesis was confirmed only in one part, because the results of the research revealed that the group is sufficiently homogeneous.
