The Master’s thesis has explored the activities of sport collectors in Lithuania in 1990-2016. The methods of practice and the analysis of sources have prevailed in the research. The thesis has systemised the causes resulting in the development of private sport collections, i.e. the reasons for collecting. In addition, it has distinguished the areas for presenting private sport collections, and the risks related thereto; it has also presented the opportunities of using private sport collections. The thesis has also included the research on the activities of the Lithuanian Olympic Collectors Association. |
