The master‘s final thesis analyses Lithuanian and foreign authors' scientific literature on ecotourism development questions: ecotourism place in the context of sustainable development, the origin and essence of ecotourism and characterizes Environmental Education Foundation (FEE) programmes supporting ecotourism development. The analysis of ecotourism development situation and perspectives in Siauliai district settlement segment are denoted. Research methodology and organization are presented. The ecotourism development opportunities in Siauliai district settlement segment are identified according to the data received from the comparative, macro and SWOT analysis. This work can be used in practice of settlement segment enterprisers when planning ecotourism introduction or development in their business. |
