The work is accomplished during participation with Šiauliai University Social Science Faculty in the program of the rural development research centre about “Development of informal continuing training for the rural people and organization of the educational work in the Šiauliai and Telšiai district. Research methods: analysis of scientific literature, normative documents and statistical data, questionnaire survey of four respondent groups, analysis of collected data using mathematical and graphical methods. The study is composed of three chapters, final conclusions, references, 6 annexes. The data of the research is reflected in the 15 tabular and 20 pictures. Each chapter is finishing by conclusions following its content. In the introduction is emphasized the tasks of the research and stages of the task performance. In the first chapter of the masters study (theoretical part) is reviewing rural development research of late years (2002 – 2007) accomplished by Lithuanian University Of Agriculture, Lithuanian Institute of Agrarian Economics, Šiauliai University and Klaipėda University . The multifunctional Lithuanian rural model is emphasized and disclosed how the needs of learning is changing, what kind of new requirements for the continuing vocational training brought the Lithuania’s entrance into the EU. It is analyzed, promotion of the rural residents training, consulting according to the implements provided in the Single Programming Document (BPD), is discussed the training of the specialists in the Lithuanian agrarian sector. In the second chapter is analyzed: the work of the Gruzdžiai Agricultural School made to improve the continuing training of the rural residents; the idea of the establishment of the Technical and technology training centre and the main aim of this project – is renewing of the subjects technological competency for the agricultural and vocational teacher of technology. In the future it could provide a qualified agricultural technical and agricultural technology training services for the Lithuania’s vocational teachers, for the agricultural consultants, for the full- time students, for the students of the continuing vocational training and of the qualification raising classes. In the third chapter is discussed and analyzed the data of the research on how is assessing the performed continuing vocational training for the rural people, is emphasized training influence on the farther agricultural work. As well is discussed and analyzed the most popular training types and programs. In the end of the study is given the conclusions and recommendations. Overall majority of the agriculturalists very appreciate provided consultations, and received information allow to describe the present conditions and problems of rural people training. |
