Representatives of sports study, sports educationalists should pay more attention to people, who overcome fantastic bounds and disclose haturis hew abilities to studier. The aim of the research is to analyse the annual training model of an average – distance runner. The objects are: to analyse training tendencies of great mastership runners; to ascertain a runner's chauge of practical training perposefulness and peculiarities of content formation in the structure of an annual preparation; to disclose the tendencies of formation of a runner training microcycles taking into account a runner's preparation tasks and his state; to disclose the connection of a subjective state and a physical load of a runner. The system of an annual preparation of a runner of great mastership, who took part in the Olympic Games in 2004 has been analysed. The connection of physical load and a subjective state of a sportsman which are very important for runners training have been researched . Different meanings of physical load are presented, to which specialists preparing athletes to the most important word contests should orientate themselves. The practical meaning of the work is reflected analyzing the rationality of the forms, the structure and the content formation of a runner. In the training cycle in 2003-2004 M. N. tried to achieve the highest sporting form only once (for the Olympic Games in Athens). When the most significant competition was approaching the result in 800m. running has been improving. The best result has been achieved in the Olympic Games in Athens (1:47.38). Runners of great mastership, who seek to prepare for the Olympic Games and word championships purposefully are running so called the model of annual preparation of one top. It is consisted of preparatory (34 – 36 weeks), main 912 -14 weeks), and transitional (2 -4 weeks). When we compared runners of average – distance the annual training load of who had gone in for sports earlier and M. N's annual training load, we noticed that M. N's general load of running, the number of training and the number of training days had been less than of other sportsman. And despite that fact, M. N's personal result of the season is much better. After the estimation of a sportsman subjective state we had noticed, that in 2003- 2004 an investigative person valued his state mostly “well”. Very seldom he has valued his state as bad or excellent. The sportsman's better estimations have been in recovery microcycles , when the training load used to be descreased. M. N. has valued himself well in the microcycles of competitions, when he had to start in contests.
