In the master‘s work there is done scientific literature analysis of Lithuanian and foreign authors on the topic of influence of the investments recessing social-economic differences in regions and stimulating the development of the regions. In the present work there is analyzed the economical and social situation in Lithuanian regions. For the estimation of development rates there are used and analyzed gross national product (GNP), gross national product per capita (GNP/c), direct foreign investments (DFI), direct foreign investments per capita (DFI/c), material investments (MI), material investments per capita (MI/c), unemployment rate and employment. There is envisaged the influence of investments improving region situation and promoting the development. There is properly analyzed the influence of investments to the regions of Siauliai. By the method of correlation regression there is established (MI and DFI) influence for the alteration of the main economical and social indicators in Siauliai County; and there are envisaged better Siauliai region development prospects in future. There is confirmed author‘s scientific research hypothesis, the investments are as the catalyst; through it and on purposive forward, the main economic and social indicators (GNP, unemployment rate, employment by economic sectors) should improve and the development of the regions will be prompt. |
