Television is still very important in a public information sphere, though internet have a higher place in media communications. Modern television not only provides information or spreads cultural models, but also becomes a source of entertainment. Regional television as a media for specific audience is the biggest media which correlates to local community. But it is worth to see, that regional television is not limited just on their telecast translation, which correlates to local community actualities, but, also retranslates other telecasts a part of time, which produce a global television. So it is very important to analyze regional television and to examine does the regional television as cold media and holder of power of reproduction, apply this power for reproduction of local knowledge or global/national discourse?In the master thesis is used such methods as scientific literature analysis, content analysis, statistic data analysis and critical discourse analysis. By these methods is observed that Siauliai television not only reproduces local knowledge and global/national discourse, but also arises and a third dialectical part, which is based on Rorty and Geertz term „anormal“ discourse. This „anormal“ discourse occurs as discursive order for local community. So the main research aim is to examine these dialectical parts/distinctions. |
