Abstract [eng] The supplementary educational process at school is being analysed in this work. It is believed that attention would be directed to the consequences of Lithuania youth spiritual crisis, the reason of which is the absence of properly organised supplementary activity. It is thought that the level of investigation of the analysed topic is not satisfactory. Unlike the formal education, the supplementary education doesn’t have a clear and unanimous programme to be organized, to be put into practice and to be estimated; that is why, all practical knowledge gained at every school, students and teachers’ attitude towards the supplementary education are valuable and interesting. The object of the work is students‘ supplementary education at technological school. The aim of the work is to reveal the peculiarities of students’ supplementary education. The research had 2 stages. 80 students and 20 teachers were questioned in the first stage in 2008. The secound stage was completed in 2010 where 200 students and 28 teachers (11 class masters among them) and 5 head teachers were questioned. All in all 280 students and 53 staff workers (teachers and head teachers) were questioned. Having analysed scientists’ opinion about the meaning of the supplementary education for children and youth, it can be stated that pithy and purposeful free time activity is very important for the formation of positive values, self-development and resistance against harmful habits. Having investigated students and teachers’ attitude towards the organization of supplementary activity at school and having generalized the results got during the research, we can state that respondents estimate supplementary education positively and consider it to be enough active. Though it can be mentioned that a slightly lower evaluation is noticed. Students are more critical than teachers what concerns non-formal educational activities – 24% of students see fewer self – expression passibilities. Both teachers and students point out exceptional non-formal educational activities. After having looked into the program of non- formal educational of the school, we can see that the program helps to develop a personality, to plan time and expenses, reveals the peculiarities of non- formal education, though having no united non- formal education organizing system makes the number of activities even double.
