Theoretical aspects of human resources management analysed by various Lithuanian and foreign scientists are assessed and systemized in this master’s degree work. Lithuanian legal acts regulating military human resources management are analysed in this work. Factors determining Lithuanian national defence politics, that had influenced military defence concept, are investigated. The system of human resources supply for the Republic of Lithuania military, its management features and specifics are discussed. Only primary soldiers selection to the army features are analysed; its importance to further human resources management application is assessed. Work’s purpose was achieved using quantitative and qualitative research methods. Surveying and partly standardised interviews lead to semi confirmation of hypothesis, that during search, selection and employment of solders not enough methods and means are used, military human resources management in the Republic of Lithuania does not meet the requirements of the professional military service solders needs. This assessment investigated current military human resources management situation and exposed main problems, i.e. activities judgement mistakes, inadequate career planning, insufficient motivation. |
