Abstract [eng] The aim of the research was to perform thematic (construct – about what?) and methodological (methods – how?) analyses of the content of the musical pedagogy researches accomplished within 1995-2008, published in scientific magazines under review. In pursuance of the aim of the present master thesis, first of all, on the grounds of the scientific literature and the documents regulating educational activity, we have performed the operationalization of the musical pedagogy researches, distinguished the criteria of the analysis of the musical pedagogy researches and on their basis we have prepared the instrument of the research. The research has been organized with reference to harmonization of standardized and non-standardized analyses of content. 186 publications in the scope of musical pedagogy from the magazines “Acta paedagogika Vilnensia”, “Pedagogika”, “Tiltai and “Kūrybos erdvės” were analysed. Upon the accomplishment of the research, it emerged that the researches of musical pedagogy developed quite out of continuity and did not cover all fields of pedagogy. The authors of the publications usually focused their attention on the very educational function of music (on presumptions of education by means of music), the very process of education and various its aspects, however, other relevant tendencies were left forgotten. Upon the analysis of the articles with reference to the criterion of orientation towards empirics or theory, it emerged that the empirical researches prevail over the theoretic researches, thus the musical pedagogy remains an empirical discipline.
