Abstract [eng] In the thesis “Pre-school children's coherent language development by applying visual models” peculiarities of coherent language, speech characteristics of pre-school children and speech characteristics in cases when speech is slightly undeveloped are analysed theoretically. Narrative teaching methods, the importance of figurativeness and visual modelling in education have also been explored. The hypothesis has been raised that applying the recommended methodology of experimental education, based on the usage of pictures, symbols and schemes in teaching of coherent language, it is likely that children's with slightly undeveloped speech ability to narrate coherently will improve. To prove this hypothesis, the experimental educational analysis has been made. The analyses been made: secondary analysis of documents, language research data analysis and experimental qualitative educational analysis. Considering evaluations of changes in children's coherent language, content (research protocols) analysis has been made. The goal was to analyse and evaluate the efficiency of the prepared methodology for coherent language education. 10 pre-school children (5-6 years old) with slightly undeveloped speech (as diagnosed by the Pedagogical-Psychological Service) participated in the analysis. According to homogeneous features, two groups were formed for the experimental research: the experimental group and the control group. In the empirical part, the tasks to evaluate the level of coherent language are introduced and the comparative analysis of tasks results before and after the experiment is presented. Also the educational methodology is introduced and the results of its application are analysed. The most important conclusions of the empirical analysis: 1. The experimental research results have proved the raised hypothesis that the methodology prepared under visual modelling recommendations and based on the usage of pictures, symbols and schemes in teaching of coherent language, improves the level of coherent language of children with slightly undeveloped speech. 2. The application of visual models and use of senses while stimulating coherent narrating helped to improve child's ability to remember, visualize and narrate. The application of visual models and use of senses while developing coherent language included successive introduction with various types of models in particular stages. This helped the children to make a visual narrative plan how to recreate the whole text more properly and comprehend its compositional structure more easily. The prepared special educational means stimulated educational motivation, narrative consistency increased, children's passive and active vocabulary developed, independent narrating increased, narrating skills improved, especially in case of creative narrating.
