Master's detailed analysis of the work of foreign direct investment (FDI), their importance and impact of Lithuanian economy. According to Lithuanian and foreign authors carried out various studies, conference proceedings, laws, scientific literature, the theoretical work presented in Foreign Direct Investment theoretical assumptions: the nature of investments, classifying, defining the form of direct foreign investment and their comparisons. Theoretically based on the positive and negative effects of foreign direct investment in the national economy. Analytical work in accordance with the statistics and the application of correlation regression analysis provides a method of direct foreign investment influence of these macroeconomic indicators: GDP, inflation, unemployment, employment, wages, exports, imports, the current account.
