This research is founded on a theoretical justification of the effectiveness of Youth school for the Dropouts from the general education schools by securing children's rights to continuity of learning and quality education in context of educational study.It summarizes the theoretical literature for a Dropouts from the general education and covers problems about children learning motivation, behavior, relationship with the school and the teacher . Distinguishes Youth school features and signs as efficient. Justifies the social, cultural, legal, political context of children's rights to continuity of learning. The realization of children's rights to quality learning and education and access to children of various social groups to learning in Lithuania in 1990 initiated the creation of an alternative school - the Youth school. These schools are as an alternative to traditional school. Their purpose is to spot the goals and objectives of the alternative education in the education system and define the expected results. Youth School Concept (2005) indicates: an alternative education curriculum meet the overall objectives, specific content, forms, methods, responds to the student and his learning For those schools is a unique educational philosophy, as the essence of education - targeting children's social, cultural, cognitive experience, with full assistance in encouraging the child to attend school and successful completion. After the examination of Lithuanian scientists‘ investigations of the effectiveness of Youth school and children's rights matters can be stated that we lack of researches about questions of how Youth school as alternative institution in order to be effective pursues the mission to meet the learning needs of Dropouts from the general education, ensures children's rights to the quality of lifelong learning and basic education. On this basis, the study had problematic issues: what are the Youth school features as an effective school ,which promotes children‘s motivation to learning and ensures children‘s rights of continuous learning. There were interviewed the 6-10 grades of 500Youth schools‘, 100 teachers , 300 Youth school pupils' parents (guardians). The study confirmed the hypothesis that the Youth school is oriented on promotion of Dropouts‘requirements to learning and creates conditions to realize their right to study the continuity of the acquisition of quality education and preparation for professional activities. |
