Cultural heritage, in no difference if it is architectural or written, must be saved or husbanded because we have inherited it from our parents and ancestry. By the collection of leather plastic ware is being attempted to pay attention to the people who are worried about the ethnic heritage prevention during the interwar and war time also as not to forget the emigrant communities. Emigrants, constantly leaving Lithuania, very often do not concentrate into communities because there are no more people among them who would take care of it. What is more, nobody sees the threat for the disappearance of national identity because this process, opposite the war time, underway without any pressure. National identity prevention and society education, the work inherited from Dr. J. Šiūpas, is the one which enables us to continue it properly: first of all, by becoming familiar with historical personalities and everything they have done for Lithuania. Only by understanding where we have come from, we will know where to go further, and, by treasuring what we have inherited from the past generations, we will become wealthy nowadays. |
