Abstract [eng] |
Relevance of the subject. Preschool education educators need to get acquainted with documents regulating Children’s Rights so that they would be capable of teaching them preschool age children subject to experience peculiarities typical to children. Convention of the Rights of the Child denotes that a newborn already is an individual who needs to be ensured with rights to a safe social, cultural development. When a child starts familiarizing with the surrounding environment, rules, then appears the possibility for training of Child’s Rights as they include certain regulations for behaviour with children. Upon prevalence of a child-oriented education system, when the child and not the educator becomes the subject planning the process of education, the conception of the meaning of the right has become especially important for children. However, the opinion that training of Child’s Rights at the preschool age is too early still exists even in educational society. Obeying to obligations is the most important. But the right and obligation are closely interrelated as knowing does not entitle forgetting obligations. Therefore, it is very important for educators to have enough competences for introducing children to their rights and forming the primary basis for further training of these rights at an elder age.
