The history was always more interesting for humans than future or present, and especially search of roots of origin. Creating a collection of works it was attempted to convey beauty of some Baltic jewelry, power of the past, the human relation with the present time. A chosen etching technique, which made an opportunity to create siurrealist images sustaning of detailes of Baltic history. The foreseen world of our ancestry hides behind the shapes of Baltic things and aesthetic solutions. Although the biggest meaning of their used symbols is a secret, but humans try to guess them. Beauty and harmony of the world existed in symmetry for Balts, which they based on creating jewelry and clothes. The Baltic symetry is rythmic, consistent, soothing. it is seen in this collection \"historical stone\". I used an emage of stone to create a form. natural stone is an age-old material created of unique beauty of nature which is used from old times by people. Stone serves for ages, so it gives an impression of longevity.its facture gives an impression of strongness for work and at the same time the grace of lines. Collection consists of 12 etching works, measurement; six works 30x40 cm, three 20x30cm, other three 30x20 cm. |
