Abstract [eng] The aim of this work is to analyze the aspects of the formation of organizational culture in Ukmerge town and district schools. To achieve this aim the Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI), which was developed by K. S. Cameron and R. E. Quinn was used. The works and researches of foreign and Lithuanian authors on the issues of the formation of organizational culture have been analyzed and systematized in this work. The analysis of special literature showed that organizational culture has a special influence on organization, its strategy, performance and effectiveness, and image formation. Also the specific role of leaders in the process of formation and changing organizational culture was accented. There were analyzed the attitudes of Ukmerge town and district schools leaders and personnel towards dominant type of culture in the organizations. It proved the hypothesis of this work: in town and district schools the clan culture dominates.
