Abstract [eng] |
The theme of Master thesis of Mechanical engineering is very relevant to today's competitive manufacturing environment, overcrowding, and every for-profit production company is making every effort to produce the best quality product at minimal cost. To this end, it is necessary to constantly and continuously improve product design and technological design methods and means of implementing them. The Concurrent Engineering (CE) is perfect for this purpose. CE's essential feature is that the product design and process technology are designed at the same time – simultaneously. This allows to solve many production problems still at an early stage of product design. The goal of this research is to assess the capabilities of Concurrent Engineering and components of it in product ant it's manufacturing technology design processes. Execution of work to meet the challenges ahead: full theoretical research in the manufacturing design optimization tools; the usage of these tools in a real production; the economical benefit determination of usage of these tools. The result of this study – the design optimization of the Lithuanian manufacturer item, which is accompanied by a reduction in that item manufacturing costs. During the execution of this work, the economical effect of usage of Concurrent Engineering tools in product and it's process design, was analytically justified. |
