The master’s final paper analyses the state of ecotourism in the Siauliai district, its integration to tourism business and the facilities of its development. The primary objective of the work is to reveal the economic substantiation of ecotourism’s development in the settlement segment of the Siauliai district. The first part of the work, which is referred to theoretical aspect, studies the matter, development and peculiarities of ecotourism, the expansion of tourism and ecotourism in Lithuania and worldwide. Also characterizes the programs of Foundation for Environmental Education which helps to expand and develop ecotourism during the businessmen. The second part of the work represents the methodology and organization of the analysis, also the comparison analysis of received material, and the research results. The third part reveals the economic aspects of ecotourism and its expansion opportunities in the settlement segment of the district of Siauliai. The project is made referred to “Green key”, which is one of Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) programs, integration to the settlement segment. Also the results and prognoses of “Green key” program realization are analyzed in the work. The information of analyses, suggestions and recommendations of this work could be used by the Lithuanian businessmen of tourism settlement segment in practice: planning the implementation or expansion of ecotourism to their keeping business, modeling the guideline, revising priority, forming the business budget. |
