Abstract [eng] |
The dissertation presents experimental results obtained through interdisciplinary research on the application of fluorometric methods for fluorescent identification and visualization of biological tissues pathologic changes. It is shown that the constructed point spectrofluorometric measurement system is suitable for experimental brain tumours fluorescent identification during surgery. Changes in fluorescence intensity at the first peak of protoporphyrin IX serves as a diagnostic fingerprint of tumour recognition in real time. Based on the analysis of recorded spectra, the evaluation of spectrofluorometric method sensitivity and specificity has been reported. The constructed fluorescence imaging system for tumour identification and delineation of its margins in the surrounding normal brain tissue as well as the analysis of the data is discussed. Mobile single-channel fluorescence excitation – collection system for brain tumours tracking for clinical applications based on recording of 5-aminolevulinic acid induced protoporphyrin IX fluorescence has been assessed. The dissertation also explores the abilities of selective endogenous fluorophores excitation and fluorescence detection spectrofluorometric system for the recognition of structural changes in the blood vessel wall under hypodynamic stress. |
