Abstract [eng] In this investigation dip-coating and spin-coating techniques were used to synthesize calcium hydroxyapatite (CHAp) coatings of different number of layers from sol-gel aqueous solution on titanium, quartz and silicon substrates. Coatings were analyzed using different analysis methods and characterized. Results showed how different number of layers of thin films influences composition and properties of coatings. Also dip-coating and spin-coating techniques on different substrates were compared and characterized. It was demonstrated that an aqueous sol-gel technique is suitable for the formation of calcium hydroxyapatite/phosphate composite coatings Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2 and Ca3(PO4)2 on titanium substrate. The XRD and FTIR measurements confirmed that the samples also contain TiO2 (rutile). Also it was demonstrated that crystallization of calcium hydroxyapatite on silicon and quartz substrates depends on number of layers. Using dip-coating technique, the formation of calcium hydroxyapatite on silicon substrate was evident only with increasing of number of layers up to 30, however using spin-coating technique calcium hydroxyapatite is evident after 5 spin-coating and annealing procedures. CHAp crystalline phase on quartz substrate was seen after first dip- or spin-coating and annealing procedures. It was demonstrated, that more pure and crystalline CHAp has formed using spin-coating technique.
