Abstract [eng] The introduction of Intelligent Connected Vehicles (ICVs) in the European Union brings as much benefit to society as the likelihood of negative impacts. To minimise the negative effect on victims of ICV incidents, legislators should commit to clarifying essential new legal concepts and revealing potential legal inconsistencies in the light of technological advancement. This thesis proposes a Synergic ICV civil liability regulation approach, which should be seen as a symbiosis of Product Liability and Motor Third-Party Liability regulation at the European Union level, including the necessary adjustments in a view of the complexity and specificity of the ICVs. This dissertation analyses the feasibility and pertinence of the Synergic ICV civil liability regulation approach through the prism of its congruity with the legal perspectives of both the European Union and the Member States. To obstruct exposing the parties involved to the risk of diminishing the optimal level of protection for road traffic victims and consumer-victims in the European Union from both foreseeable and materialised harmful consequences, this thesis focuses on the achievability of the Synergic ICV civil liability regulation at the European Union level. Synergic ICV civil liability regulation approach is urged through the prism of a uniform set of rules related to civil liability in a narrow subject-matter, which aims to prevent a less favourable impacts on cross-border victims depending on the state in which the accident occurred.
