Main aim of the scientific paper is to research the relay protection checking methods and operation parameters. In the master’s paper I analyse relay protection checking methods, briefly review some test stands used. Microprocessor relay operational parameters are compared with electromechanical relays which are used for line protection. The research was done in Siauliai City 330 kV transformer substation on 10 kV distributor and in Radviliskis 110/10 kV transformer substation on 10 kV distributor, maintained by AB VST. It was found that resources of most of the electromechanical relays used are coming to an end, therefore their reliability and accurateness grow worse and worse. In the case of microprocessor relays, impact period is cut down by 2-3 times, accuracy grows up to 5 times, this improves selectivity, speed and reliability. |
