The dissertation raises three problem questions: what is a content of country image?; what is a content of higher education image?; what is an influence of country image on higher education image? Aim of research: to build the structural model of country image manifestation in higher education context and empirically verify it for Lithuania. The theory analysis of concepts and structure of country image and higher education image was conducted using the attitude theory approach which enabled to define certain components and dimensions of image. After theory analysis original hypothetical structural model of country image manifestation in higher education context was constructed. In this way the first stage of model construction is finalized, though such model reflects only the results of theoretical analysis and still needs empirical research for further adjustments. In the second stage of model construction the hypothetical structural model of country image manifestation in higher education context is adjusted. Quantitative study, resulting in statistical associations between the structural model components of country image manifestation in higher education context is the third stage of model construction. The structural model of country image manifestation in higher education context which identifies the essential components of country image in higher education context together with its dimensions and interrelationships can be considered as a complex means of measurement of country image manifestation in higher education context that provides an opportunity to evaluate the country image regardless of the country, to identify the strengths and consistently develop the strategies of country image designing in higher education context. |
