Master thesis „Poetics of memory in the creative works of Sigitas Parulskis“ expose and analyze thematics of memory. There are three works analyzed in this thesis; they represent different aspects of creative works of S. Parulskis: esseistics (collection of essays „Naked clothes“), prose (novel „Three seconds of a sky“) and poetry (collection of poems „All this from the longing“). In the first part of this work, which is represented by the collection of essays „Naked clothes“, expression of modern time, which has connections with physical and mathematical time, and interrelation of past and present are studied. Most of attention are devoted to comparison of this S. Parulskis work and novel by M. Proust „Finding Time Again“, attention is given to comparison of perceived „personal“ (time undisclosed to reader) and „common“ (time disclosed to reader) times. In these parts of master thesis: „Poetics of memory in the prose of Sigitas Parulskis“ and „Poetics of memory in the poetry of Sigitas Parulskis“ attention is paid to the effort of disclosing expression and functions of memory. Namely then it is proceeded to the study of the public and inner memory. Public and inner memory are studied in the novel „Three seconds of a sky“ and collection of poems „All this from the longing“. Attention is paid to the exposition of public and inner memory, mainly referring to these books: cultural book of V. Kavolis „Cultural psychology“ and historical – diary of O. A. – Garbstienė „In the Siberia...the land of a deportees: diary: 1942-1956“. |
