Having examined the concepts of sustainable business and advantages and disadvantages of business sustainability management models, the objective of the dissertation is to formulate a management model of business transformation to sustainable business and to verify it in present business conditions in Lithuania. In the dissertation, the essence of the concepts of sustainable development and sustainability is characterized, the criteria of sustainable society are distinguished and the concept of sustainable business is defined. A detailed critical comparison analysis of business sustainability management models is performed, advantages and disadvantages of each model are indicated, and according to them, a management model of business transformation to sustainable business is formed. The model is empirically verified in Lithuanian enterprises. The empirical verification study of the formulated management model of business transformation to sustainable business allowed to identify areas, that needed improvement. Considering the findings of the empirical verification study, changes were made to the theoretical model and a refined management model of business transformation to sustainable business was formulated. |
