9. SUMMARY The auditing analysis of environment protection state and the management system of environment protection of a joint-stock company “Utenos trikotazas” Renata Rastenytė The implementation of environment protection management systems is one of the most important factors that impels realization of producer responsibility principle and the practical implementation of Clean Production (CP). The aim of my work was to analyze the company’s environment protection state and to overlook the effectiveness of environment protection management systems and the analysis of auditing. Tasks of the work: 1. To analyze the literature related to environment protection management and auditing; 2. To overlook the activities of “Utenos trikotazas”; 3. To evaluate the management of waste that are gathered during the production processes; 4. To evaluate the influence of the company that it makes on the atmosphere; 5. To perform the analysis of the water usage and sewage pollution; 6. To analyze the effectiveness of environment protection management systems of “Utenos trikotazas”. 7. To evaluate the implementation of auditing in “Utenos trikotazas”. The economy branch to which belongs “Utenos trikotazas” is light industry. The main branch is the production of hosiery and textile. Any activity of the company that requires special license or permission the company performs only when it gets them. The production and services of the company may be realized in Lithuania and abroad. The conception of the company’s work is everlasting improvement. This is proved by the standard ISO 9001, 14001, certificates, national quality prize, implemented standard OEKO –TEX 100. “Utenos trikotazas” imports main raw material for its production from Asian countries (India, Pakistan) – about 84% of all raw material, from Europe 10%, in internal market 6 %. “Utenos trikotazas” has air cleaning devices that prevent from exceeding norms. In the company, the biggest part of the waste is formed of production waste, cotton waste that are gathered during the process in cutting and knitting rooms. One of the company’s environment protection policy commitments is to reduce the amount of waste and to manage the waste in such a way that it does not harm air, ground and people. Safe and ecologically clean, having no dangerous substances, company’s production and the cycle of production have no negative influence on the environment and for people who work there. |
