In this master research ISKON social disjuncture is being analysed. In theoretical part of this research, social disjuncture is being defined, its origin is reviewed, ISKON community's way of life, values and ideology are described. Main factors, that are crucial for ISKON's social disjuncture are determined by society's assumed homogeneity, because present Lithuania is known as a society full of various groups, communities and multicultures, that are always interacting with each other (Mazeikis, 2006). In empirical part of the master thesis two researches are accomplished: quality research- biographic interview with members from ISKON society, and quantity research- social survey in web page- apklausa.lt. This research justified the hypothesis that disjuncture of ISKON community's members is being defined inapplicably, because of different social values, traditions and ISKON community's way of life. |
