The relevance of the study. In today's education (learning) context, focusing on lifelong learning and seeking to create an integral education space, learning can take place not only in special but also in public educational, cultural institutions, among them – and public libraries often called “people’s universities”. Educational or cultural-educational function of libraries include the influence and importance of educating young people, supporting after-school activities to meet pupils’ cultural and informal learning needs (Library Program, 2000–2001). Culture is an integral element of education. The object of the study is the public library educational activity. |
