Abstract [eng] The dissertation deals with the problem of training young orienteerers. As training of young orienteerers is little investigated by means of scientific research and a shift of scientifically reasoned adult training technologies into training of young orienteerers is impossible, the following scientific problem is raised: how to model training of young orienteerers. The object of the research is sports training and sports fitness. The aim of the research is to work out the model for training orienteerers after theoretical investigation of the proceeding of training young orienteerers as well as measuring effectiveness of application of diversity of training means and methods by empirical research. Scientific novelty and significance of the research is based on complex investigation of impact of orienteering sport training on the change of physical capacities and adaptation to physical loads of 12–14-year-old pupils. Importance and peculiarities of application of variety of training means and methods in sports training of young orienteerers are revealed. More effective methods for training endurance and orienteering abilities of young orienteerers are established. The stochastic model of training 12–14-year-old orienteerers is worked out; it is based on diversity of training means and methods as well as on optimisation of motivation encouragement and training load. Practical and utilitarian significance of the research is characterised by helpfulness of collected factual data and theoretical generalisations of the dissertation in further improvement of training of young orienteerers and strengthening of humanistic beginnings in the system of sportsmen training.
