Various colleges and universities have recently started using virtual learning environments and it is constantly taking an important role in the process of learning and teaching. The primary goal of this work is accomplishing functional researches and installation of virtual learning environment Sakai, which has had no official educational public usage in Lithuania. This work contains Sakai's comparison with Lithuania-popular Moodle environment, just as well as a research for opportunities to use additional modules in the Sakai environment. It also reveals different ways how to upload mathematical texts in Sakai, along with introduction of the e. teaching standards in the Sakai and Moodle systems. |
