Abstract [eng] |
Fractures of the proximal femur are significant in medical, economical and social aspects of life. Femoral neck fractures are related to high nonunion rate what leads to restricted movement and disability. Many research studies indicate the importance of patient's age and morphological fracture classification for the correct surgical treatment method selection. Recent studies show the significance of remaining blood flow to the femoral head for the fracture healing. The dissertation analyses the importance of dynamic magnetic resonance imaging using contrast agents in evaluation of: - prognostic value of the remaining blood flow in the femoral head after femoral neck fracture; - volumetric distribution of contrast agent in the frontal plane. Maximal contrast material cumulation values were noted in the central and central/posterior parts on the healthy side, and anterior and posterior parts of the affected side. There were no revisions performed in the patients group with more than 65% of blood flow remaining in the affected side. With respect to study results the simplified classification into two groups is introduced according the remaining blood flow what is significant in facilitating the appropriate choice of treatment. |
