Abstract [eng] Dalia Jazukevičiūtė (D.O.B. 1952) is one of the most popular women writers in Lithuania. During the first decade of Lithuanian Independence the author earned her fame by the articles of investigative journalism. The creational work of Jazukeviciute is awarded for some times and her three novels “Anarchistės išpažintis”, “Juodas kvadratas”, “Dviejų mėnulių baras” received much attention from literary specialists. In her novels the writer depicts creating woman and her searches in life. D. Jazukeviciute sets the stereotype of creating woman against the picture of traditional woman, which prevailed in literature till then. Traditional woman in literature was depicted as rejecting her own interests, not wanting or not being able to change with the changing world. The topics of Jazukeviciute’s novels includes life story of a creating woman. In the author’s creational work not only peripeteias of depictive periods are raised, but also a painful woman’s experience. Resolved emphasis of Jazukeviciute’s “weak” and “strong” genders as a social problem, change of woman’s picture, evaluations of critics and readers witness relevance of womanly problematic. The object of master thesis – self-expression problem of a woman, engaged in creative activity, with reference to life stories of protagonists Katerina N., Stella and Marija from the novels by D.Jazukeviciute “Anarchistės išpažintis” (2007), “Juodas kvadratas” (2007), “Dviejų mėnulių baras” (2008). Aim of master thesis – to reveal new depiction features of a creating woman in the novels by Dalia Jazukeviciute “Anarchistės išpažintis”, “Juodas kvadratas”, “Dviejų mėnulių baras”. By analyzing new stereotypes of a creating woman in Dalia Jazukeviciute’s texts it became clear that: 1) the stereotype of creating woman is tried to relate to the role of (vivid) house-wife, functioning in the society, it is a real testing of woman’s strength, fortitude; 2) the stereotype of house-wife is transformed by a creative personality. Home is the place to live, create; the role of house-wife and mother loses its meaning. The stereotype of a creative woman is related to home environment and rejection of house-wife stereotype, the problem of motherhood. In the analysis of the novels “Anarchistės išpažintis” and “Juodas kvadratas” two main reasons, determining the relation of a creating women with motherhood, are spotlighted: 1) creating woman is forced to accept motherhood because of surrounding people, who are bound by traditions; 2) creating woman is forced to reject her child at home because of unbearable situation at home, yarned creation work. The motive of travelling helps stereotype of a creating woman to reveal itself in Jazukeviciute’s prose. The protagonists of the novels are travelling from village to city, from Lithuania abroad. The trip of creating women from one space to another is related not only to search for a better life but to a spiritual trip as well, attempting to find oneself, to consolidate in a public space. The aims of creating women, travelling from village to city in the novels “Anarchistės išpažintis”, “Juodas kvadratas”, “Dviejų mėnulių baras” differ. The protagonist of the first novel by Jazukeviciute travels not being under someone’s pressure, wishing to establish herself in men’s world; and the protagonist of the third novel is doing this because of critical situation in her family. The protagonists of the novels oppose city’s material values. The best way is returning to village’s or Lithuanian space. Creating women, having experienced much good and bad moments in life, express this in creational work through different forms of creation. They ascend till absolute self-expression freedom through stages of being. The possibility of creation as liberation is revealed to them by: 1) teacher’s figure; 2) object of love; 3) painful separation, death. Each of three stages psychologically strengthens creating personality, makes her resistant while meeting new challenges, raised to her by life. Creating woman is not turning back. She bravely goes forward. Creation – is assistance to herself. It helps to solve all raised and will be raised problematic situations. It may be concluded that (these novels) and all creational work serves to the author of novels (Dalia Jazukeviciute) as a form of psychotherapy. The novels reveal not only topicality of a changing period, but also autobiographic details; the author “sort of” unconsciously creates her doubles’ picture. Writers’ experience, her experienced states of happiness and fear through a double are transferred to a literary reality. Be design going of the protagonists of the novels “Anarchistės išpažintis”, “Juodas kvadratas”, “Dviejų mėnulių baras” out of closed home space, wandering between city and village (Lithuania and abroad) are related to a wish to realize themselves as a creating personalities.
