Abstract [eng] The peculiarities of organization of evaluation of human resources, analyzed and systematized nonfiction of evaluation of human resources, written by various Lithuanian and foreign authors, are presented in the master’s thesis. Analyzed opportunities of practice of evaluation of human resources in public sector, an analysis of main methods of evaluation of human resources as well as their usage opportunities are represented in the thesis as well. The current situation of evaluation of human resources in Šiauliai University is comprehensive analyzed by using the method of document analysis there too. It is also represented the employees’ opinion about opportunities of organization of evaluation of human resources in Šiauliai University by using canvass method in the thesis. The hypothesis, i.e. the evaluation of human resources can be applicable for the personnel of Šiauliai University, who organize and service studies as a tool to organize the further plans of advance of qualification as well as edification, is validated. The author of the thesis attended a ninths conference of students’ scientific works, named “The Topicality of Economics and Management” in the faculty of Social science of Šiauliai University on 23th of April in 2009. She presented the paper, named “The Peculiarities of Evaluation of Human Resources in Public Sector: a Case of Šiauliai University“, there.
