Abstract [eng] This Master’s thesis analyzes the intricate legal and ethical landscapes surrounding the use of personal data in the algorithmic training in a comparative analysis of two vital data protection laws, the GDPR of the European Union and the CCPA of the United States. The study delves into how these regulations shape the collection, processing, and utilization of personal data for developing algorithms. The study approaches to ethical frameworks to acknowledge their implications for technology and personal data use. The analysis further demonstrates the application of theoretical concepts on the matter, evidenced by precedents from case law.
