Abstract [eng] |
The master degree thesis analyses and systemizes theoretical aspects of motivation and motivational systems of different Lithuanian and foreign authors. On the basis of theoretical material, a questionnaire was made for the survey of motivational system. The survey was carried out in the Telsiai County State Tax Inspectorate. In the master degree thesis there was an analysis carried out on the number, composition and structure of employees of the institution, which participated in the survey, also principal factors influencing work motivation were determined. The survey data confirmed the theory that the system of employees’ motivation in the public sector only partially matches and does not satisfy the expectations of employees. As the underlying factors of motivation, civil servants indicated social guarantees, working conditions and payment. The majority of employees of the institution noted that they would change their job in order to receive a higher salary or a better job position. The employees stated that they would work better if payment depended upon the results and quality of this work, they would also like to envisage realistic career perspectives. The master degree thesis proposes suggestions for the improvement of the system of motivation in the public sector. |
