Abstract [eng] The main economic propeller in the European Union and in developed markets is small and mediocre business. However, it is known that for the outset of any new idea initial investments are the necessity. The lack of initial capital in Lithuania may also be one of the main problem starting a new business here, though here, as in the other countries, they say, that there is a lot of money and it is not expensive, besides, there appear more people, who wish to invest in our country. This entire let us forecast, that the financial backing should not be the obstacle for young businessmen, however the reality differs enormously from this kind of situation. In this work I attach great importance to the loans which banks lend to small and mediocre enterprises, because at these days small enterprises borrow very actively, but not everything in Lithuania is done to satisfy the needs of small businessmen. That is why, in my opinion, granting credits to small business are an urgent problem in Lithuania. The aim of research: analyzing the markets of credit and comparing the conditions of getting the loan. The tasks of research: 1. To analyze the conception of banks’ loans; 2. To investigate the classification of loans; 3. To analyze the process of giving the loan to business client and the conditions of doing that; 4. To analyze the credit market in Lithuania; 5. To compare the conditions of five Lithuanian banks, which give loans to business clients; 6. To analyze the results of the comparison of the banks that give loans to business clients and to give the proposals. In this work, here is used the comparative analysis, and its aim is to compare the largest Lithuania’s banks conditions of crediting business clients and to elucidate what kind of conditions do not satisfy the clients, an why they usually choose other ways of financial backing. The results of research were gathered during the interview, when the Lithuania’s banks’ business clients’ specialists were interviewed and in such way the conditions of getting loan were cleared up. This work contains 59 pages, 8 tables, 13 pictures and 3 appendixes. 50 Sources of literature were used in this work.
