Abstract [eng] THE IMPACT OF INTERNAL COMMUNICATION ON EMPLOYER ATTRACTIVENESS, MEDIATED BY SUPERVISOR SUPPORT Kristina Kovrikova Master‘s Thesis Human Resource Management Programme Vilnius University, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration Supervisor – Prof. Greta Drūteikienė Vilnius, 2024 m ABSTRACT 82 pages, 20 tables, 6 figures, 135 references. Aim of this Master‘s Thesis: to examine the impact of satisfaction with internal communication on employer attractiveness, mediated by supervisor support at the theoretical and empirical level. Objectives: 1. To review the theories and empirical research on the relationship between satisfaction with internal communication, employer attractiveness and direct manager support; 2. To develop a theoretical model of the influence of direct supervisor support on the relationship between satisfaction with internal communication and perceived employer attractiveness; 3. Empirically test the theoretical model of the influence of direct supervisor support on satisfaction with internal communication and perceived employer attractiveness; 4. Present conclusions and further recommendations. The paper is structured as follows: literature review, description of the research methodology, analysis of the data obtained during the research, conclusions and suggestions. Methods. Statistical analysis of the obtained data is carried out using the SPSS software package in order to determine the relationships between the factors of the topic. The survey was carried out in December 2023. 519 respondents from the working population in Lithuania took part in the survey The data analysis confirmed all three hypotheses of the study. The results confirmed the first hypothesis (H1), which showed a statistically significant, strong, direct and positive relationship between satisfaction with internal communication and supervisor support. Similarly, hypothesis H2, showing a statistically significant, strong, direct, positive relationship between satisfaction with internal communication and attractiveness of the employer, was confirmed. The analysis also supported Hypothesis H3, that direct supervisor support mediates the statistically significant, direct, positive but weak mediational relationship (.1713) between satisfaction with internal communication and employer attractiveness. This suggests that higher satisfaction with internal communication is associated with higher perceived support from supervisor, which in turn increases employer attractiveness. Satisfaction with internal communication, acting through the mediating factor of support from the line manager, explains 88.24% of employer attractiveness. Keywords: internal communication, satisfaction with internal communication, employer attractiveness, supervisor support.
