The subject area of this work is intercultural business communication. The aims of the work are: to compare Lithuania and Sweden by Geert Hofsted dimensions, to give the recommendations for farther researches, to show the main problem points in international negotiations and the most important aspects of intercultural business communication between Lithuanian and Swedish organizations. The main goals of the work are: to review cultural and intercultural communication theories and Geert Hofsted discovered cultural dimensions, to make the analysis of previous made research works of intercultural communication, to give the recommendations for Lithuanians intercultural communication, to compare Lithuania and Sweden by Geert Hofsted dimensions index and Audra Mockaitis research work, to give the recommendations for successful international enterprise; to analyze the understanding of international negotiations, negotiation processes, strategies and styles, the impact of cultural difference; to make the research of Lithuanian and Sweden companies in order to find out the difference of intercultural communicational behavior. According to the research results, Lithuanian and Sweden are cultural different countries by Geert Hofsted sex dimension, but there is no big impact of cultural differences for business communication processes. Swedish companies find Lithuanians as potential and present business partners. The author discovers that it is more important to notice the cultural aspects by sex dimension, which can determine communicational misunderstandings. |
