Abstract [eng] The present Master thesis evaluates speech therapy modules of special pedagogy studies programme. The aim is to reveal quality evaluation of speech therapy modules of special pedagogy studies programme by the students of speech therapy and speech therapy specialists. 38 students of full-time studies and 13 students of part-time studies of 4th course of Šiauliai University, Faculty of Social Welfare and Disability participated in the research. 120 speech therapy specialists from different cities in Lithuania, working in different type educational and health care institutions, were polled. It was researched by the method of questionnaire poll, what encouraged students and speech therapy specialists-practicians to choose studies of special pedagogy (specialization: speech therapy) and how students and speech therapy specialists evaluate the significance of all special pedagogy’s (specialization: speech therapy) studies programmes subjects in speech therapy specialist’s work, what is the opinion of students and speech therapy specialists about the subjects taught in modules of speech therapy, what aspects of speech therapy specialist’s practice placement organization they evaluate positively, what they would suggest to improve. Students were asked about their possibilities of involvement into studies process. Speech therapy specialists were asked about felt moral satisfaction in professional activity. The purpose of research was to find out, what suggestions students and speech therapy specialists could present for improvement of modules of speech therapy, what they would like to refuse and what to include into special pedagogy studies programme (specialization: speech therapy). Having performed research it is determined, that advices of family members encouraged students to choose studies of special pedagogy (specialization: speech therapy). Speech therapy specialists were encouraged to choose studies of this field by their knowledge about the children, having speech disorders and wish to help them. Both students both speech therapy specialists distinguished subjects of disorders of mental development, specific learning disabilities, psychology, syndrome of autism, didactics of Lithuanian language, knowledge of speciality language culture as essential in the work of speech therapy specialists beside speech therapy. Received results reveal that in the opinion of students and speech therapy specialists, enough time is allocated for almost all subjects taught in the modules of speech therapy. Some subjects, according to received results, could be given more time and attention. The first module is evaluated positively by speech therapy specialists, working in practice. Specialists pay attention that not enough time is allocated for subjects, taught in the second and third modules of speech therapy. Students and speech therapy specialists evaluates well organization of speech therapy student’s practice placement (general usefulness of practice, possibility to choose practice placement, the competence of speech therapy specialist with whom the practice was made, etc.), though they would like to improve time, given for performance of practice of speech therapy student, instruction of speech therapy student’s practice, accounting works, the final discussion of practice placement. General evaluation of modules of speech therapy studies programme is positive, though both students both speech therapy specialists provided suggestions what they would like to change. Raised research hypothesis that students and speech therapy specialists and having a different experience, similar to the Special Education programm of study Quality Speech Therapy module, was confirmed.
