Abstract [eng] Organisations in both Lithuania and foreign countries are interested in implementing effective quality management systems into practice. However, due to the shortage of information or knowledge of aspects of implementing standards of quality, some structural parts of these systems lack attention. Compared to other European countries, the implementing and adaptation of the quality management systems in Lithuania is quite a new and innovative field, as only a small number of organisations have implemented certified quality management systems. Besides that, in business environment the very overall quality management is perceived too narrowly and is often associated with acquiring the certificate. The organisations that have already implemented quality management systems recognize the main role of the personnel management realising the principles of the overall quality management. The strategy of organisation and the principles of personnel management are closely related. While implementing the leading-edge management systems, it is important to evaluate the aspects of organisational line, the particularity and the structure of the business, the methods of personnel management. The cohesion between the quality management systems and personnel management is analysed in the Master’s thesis. The research aims to assess the results of implementing the management system in the context of the change in personnel management. The Master‘s thesis is organized in three structural parts: conceptual, methodological and diagnostic parts. In the conceptual/ theoretical part the essence of the systemic conception of cohesion between quality management systems and personnel management is analysed. In the methodological part the methods of the research are discussed, the stages of its organising are set and the diagnostic instrumentation is described. In the diagnostic part of the research the factors of quality management systems having impact on the change in the personnel management in the companies of Siauliai district are analysed and interpreted. The summed-up theoretical and presented results of the scientific research prove that the essential condition of the purposeful quality system management is effective personnel management. The orientation of the personnel of the organisation in the plane of overall quality management is understood as the personnel’s policy of seeking better quality. It includes the personnel development, creating the structure of the workplaces, the delegation of the tasks, learning, active participation in the processes taking part in the company, the appreciation and motivating of the employees.
