Abstract [eng] The subject of master thesis is Diagenetic parasequence in Cambrian sandstones and influence of diagenesis on reservoir properties in Lithuania. Very important economical interests are related to the Cambrian sandstones – oil exploration, underground gas storage, geothermal reservoirs. Despite of abundant publications there are still a lot of unanswered questions like the diagentic evoliution of Cambrian sandstones. The objectives of the study: 1. Diagenetic parasequence of the Cambrian sandstones based on petrographic and chemical analysis; 2. Petrophysical properties of Cambrian sandstones; 3. Correlation of the diagenetic parasequence with the evolution of the basin. Results of this research showed that Cambrian sandstones were effected by long diagenetic transformations witch relate to the burial history of the Baltic basin. Two diagenetic stages are defined. Eogenetic stage – formation of minerals were influenced by variations of chemical composition in pore fluids. Mezogenetic-talogenetic stage – temperature controlled evolution influenced by HC generation.
