Abstract [eng] The object of research paper is the diaries of internet. The purpose of work is to analyze the internet diaries as individualized form of communication in the public space. The main tasks of work are: to research the concept of communication, to discuss the communication in the conventional and public space; to analyze the tendency of development of traditional and internet diaries; to define their concepts; to analyze the communication of individual in the traditional and internet diary.; to discuss and show the functions of internet diaries and it’s place in modern media; to compare internet diaries with traditional diaries; to analyze internet diaries according to chosen methods of records analyzes. The usage of records analyses according to synthetic and comparative methods and analyzes of qualitative scientific articles show that those internet diaries which more than ten years were existing in the word, emerged in Lithuanian internet sites two years ago, also called “blogs”, today are becoming popular internet development directions and the unique channel for information spread. Previously, diaries were just for individual usage, today they open new communication channel in the public space. It is characteristic to the diaries that individualized content in the internet becomes public. Everyone can write, edit and publish there own individual thoughts, opinions, attitudes on the internet. Also, they can share the information with other internet consumers. The internet diaries are changing the attitude of society towards traditional media and becoming the suitable instrument for politicians and business. The content of internet diaries can change the balance of power in the media. The journalists not only write diaries on the internet, but also search for the news there. The opportunities for internet diaries are huge in Lithuania. According to statistical data we can confirm that not only personal, but also organization’s editorial diaries will become popular. Also, more political content “blogs” diaries will emerge. The popularity of such sites can’t be distinguished from the development of public relations and advertisement on the internet; companies or individuals who has their own diaries will be able to get in touch much more easier with important audience; constantly exchange the important news with the company or individual; to influence the opinion of society or its particular group; increase the popularity of company or individual; lighten its activities; directly communicate with the audience concerned; to hear various opinions and react to them; to create the image you want. The survey analysis of internet diaries disclosed that Lithuanian internet diaries can be classified according to authorship into collective and individual. Collective internet diaries can be of three types: editorial, organizational and collective; individual internet diaries are private and professional. According to the topic internet diaries can be of particular topic and miscellaneous, according to the way of presentation of information – textual and audiovisual. The content analysis of internet diaries show that in the individual diaries the main topics are everyday life, leisure time, politics, information of technologies. In the diaries of editorial offices the most urgent topics are various news, the topics of organization’s newspapers are related to its activities, production and the creation of organization’s image and the communication with direct and potential clients. The research paper can be useful for scientists of informational technologies, for lectures and students of information and communication subjects.
