Abstract [eng] In this master's thesis, the specifics of the investigation of different types of smuggling examining relevant regulatory acts are analyzed, and legal doctrine is provided where a particularly important role is played by the criminal cases related to smuggling with the forensic analysis of cases from 2017 to 2023 examined in the Supreme Court of Lithuania, the Court of Appeal of Lithuania, and Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Panevėžys District Courts. Although the crime of smuggling has been examined many times and more than one scientific article has been written about it, this thesis stands out from the others due to the fact that in the analysis of criminal cases of recent years, the specifics of the investigation of individual types of smuggling isolated through the prism of the subject are examined. In this master's thesis examination of the concepts of smuggling and its forensic characteristics are provided, where investigation of the latter's structural elements determines their dependence relationships, regularities, and reveals the peculiarities of the investigation of individual types of smuggling. Excluding types of smuggling, such as narcotic and psychotropic substances or their precursors, tobacco and its products, cash and firearms, firearms parts or ammunition, and the aim is to examine the specifics of each of them as widely as possible. Based on the practical material, the analyzed and systematized forensic characteristics of smuggling and other significant information are used to determine the characteristics of the beginning of the investigation of the mentioned prevailing individual types of smuggling, its planning, the isolation of typical investigation situations, and the raising of possible typical versions of the investigation. In addition to the various typical investigation situations that are typical for individual types of smuggling, as well as typical versions of the investigation, separate procedural actions are also relevant in each case for obtaining important data, clarifying the circumstances, and verifying the different versions and the prevailing separate procedural actions. This analyzed and summarized information, which is important for the methodological tasks of the investigation, makes it possible to draw conclusions related to the investigation of individual types of smuggling, which are significant for improving the quality of the investigation, improving methods and tools, understanding and evaluating various typical investigation situations, raising and checking versions of the investigation and contributing to the fight with the crime of smuggling.
